Dan began his enthusiasm for music at six years old, when he began taking piano lessons. Since then, he has picked up both the trumpet and guitar, and has done everything from playing trumpet in big band jazz orchestras to troubadouring for a Shakespeare company to being a frontman for a rock band. He currently makes a living busking in New York.
He has dabbled in writing and composition since he began playing the piano, including for the rock band Push to Start (previews and CDs available here or on iTunes), but his solo songwriting took off in full force in autumn 2013. Since then, he's written a great deal of music and has begun to gig around the city. He is currently working on a brand new album, set to come out in 2015 (scratch samples can be found here). He also recently cut his producer teeth on Rob Roper's Total Flower Chaos album, Tulips, set to come out within the year.
He has played and sung at weddings, funerals, birthdays, and store openings, played at restaurants, accompanied auditions, and performed at open mics in a variety of venues. Dan is more than happy to accommodate for whatever purpose the music is required.
